TīmeklisREU students will have the opportunity to learn about experimental design and data analysis; insect handling and husbandry; bumble bee natural history and behavior; as well as novel techniques using radio frequency identification (RFID) systems, iButton loggers, and (occasionally) craft supplies. TīmeklisCCMR REU students work directly with faculty on interdisciplinary materials research projects involving chemistry, physics, materials science, and engineering disciplines. Students will also participate in an organized program of lectures, laboratory visits, and a variety of recreational activities. Applicants select their top five projects ...

REU: Inclusion and Innovation in Medical Devices Projects
TīmeklisThe REU research projects are not special projects created for the undergraduate level, but rather are an integral part of current research of faculty associated with the Princeton Center for Complex Materials. REU students are matched to ongoing research projects of the faculty based on the research interests they list in their application. TīmeklisThe REU student on this project will be heavily involved in assembling, testing, and upgrading the pulsed linear electron accelerator from 100 keV to (after upgrade) 1 MeV. The project will combine hands-on activities in assembling and operating the accelerator for tests and modeling of electron trajectories in the system. TīmeklisIn a previous REU project, we have analyzed with participants L. Castronovo and Y. Chen the popular poker game “Guts,” along with a continuous analog more convenient for analysis, determining most of its main features. For the 2-player version, this includes an optimal, winning strategy. For the 3-player version, as for many multiplayer ... tersa 410
