Webb14 feb. 2024 · Has anyone actually done a rear mount turbo setup? Ive acquired a pristine 92 IDI automatic 4.10 gears reg cab 2wd that I will be using as my daily driver/weekend tow rig. There are alot of hills/mountains to drive so im thinking of building a remote mount turbo setup and turning the pump up a little. WebbNo need to relocate anything, including the battery THE EXPECTED Boost starts at 6psi. Customers are making over 600hp to the rear wheels on only 10psi. This turbo can handle 25+ psi. Tuning is required, locally or by mail order tune vendors and a fuel pump/injector upgrade is highly recommended.

It would have to be a custom turbo system that mounts the turbos somewhere in the exhaust after the header collector. Something like the STS turbo system. But most (if not all) aftermarket companies utilize the stock exhaust manifolds, because they work properly with most people's power goals.
