Even contacted the mechanic (that I trust) at the dealership...he told me that he adds 2.5 quarts rides it than tops off with a little more (yes, about 2.75 quarts). Synthetic allows for longer intervals, but 10K is pushing it, IMHO. 5K for primary, or even 10K if using synthetic. 10K for trans. Syn3 for the dirt driveway to keep dust down. You can run Syn3 in the engine and primary, but not even HD uses it in the trans any more.
