Clicking when pressing brakes
WebNov 25, 2024 · Thinking about it, ordinarily I'd never do that. The typical sequence of events involving park is 1.) press brake, start car, shift out of park, go and 2.) press brake, stop, shift into park, turn off car. So this just started happening a couple of days ago (or I just started to notice it). When I press on the brake pedal, there's a very loud click noise coming from the front left wheel. I recently changed my brakes (rotors, pads, fluid) as well as changed the wheels and tires (9th gen 16" aluminum wheels).

There's a brake interlock solenoid under the center portion of the dash that sometimes will make a click sound when you press the brake pedal which allows you to shift out of park. If that's where the sound is coming from and everything is operating correctly that would be more normal.
